Cardinal Tetra (Paracheirodon axelrodi)

The Cardinal Tetra is a stunningly colorful fish, featuring a neon-like blue stripe and a brilliant red stripe that run the entire length of its body. Not only is it a treat to the eyes, but it's also a very social fish that thrives in schools. In fact, it's recommended to keep them in groups of 5 or more to really bring out their natural schooling behavior. They grow to around 3cm in length and are omnivorous, enjoying a diet of quality fish flakes, live, and frozen foods.
