Synodontis Occellifer (Synodontis ocellifer)

The Synodontis Ocellifer Catfish is a peaceful bottom scavenger who originated from various river systems of Western Africa.  Its colouration is yellowish to brown with many black spots on its body.  The maximum Standard Length for a Synodontis Occellifer is around 20cm. This fish is unfussy in terms of feeding. Frozen, live and dried foods are all accepted. It will also relishe in vegetable matter in the form of shelled peas and cucumber.  The Synodontis Occellifer should not be kept with any fish so small as to be considered food as they can become territorial as they mature.
