Lamp Eye Tetra (Moenkhausia sanctaefilomena)

The Lamp Eye Tetra has a silvery golden body with a yellow band at the base of the tail fin, right in front of a broad black band. They have a bright red spot on the upper part of the eye, which is best described by its common name 'Red Eye Tetra'. These fish should be kept in group of at least 6 or more. Offer a varied diet of frozen or freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex worms and other small worms, mosquito larvae and daphnia.
