Longnose Whiptail Catfish (Sturisoma Barbatum)

The Long Nosed Whiptail is a slender algae eater catfish. This is a very peaceful fish who can grow to 20-25cm in length. Avoiding tankmates that are boisterous at feeding times will reduce competition for food. Offer a varied diet consisting of sinking catfish pellets, algae wafers, and frozen foods such as bloodworm, daphnia and cyclops. These fish also enjoy eating algae. Whiptail Catfish can be kept singly, in a pair or in groups.
