Silver Dollar (Metynnis spp)

Silver dollar fish are a great addition to any aquarium setup. They are very active fish, calm and not aggressive which makes them easy to pair with many other fish species. These fish will only grow to a small 8 inches and have a life span of 10 years.

The silver dollar fish originated from South America, in rivers that contain heavy amounts of long vegetation. They will devour any plant in there path, in fact they have a nickname of ' Plant Piranha'
