Twin Stripe PencilFish (Nannostomus digrammus)

The Golden Pencil fish is names because of their pencil-like shape with the vibrant orange body and black stripe down the middle of them. They are a part of the Lebiasinidae family and tend to grow no more than 2 inches. Pencil fish have small, upturned mouths, making it easier for them to eat small foods that float or take a while to sink. Some of the food they like to eat consist of baby brine shrimp, crushed flakes, daphnia and Easy fry and Small fish food. They tend to be kept and school in large groups of 6 or more fish.
